House with walls, bookcase, fireplace, floor, & roof all made out of autoclaved aerated concrete.

Our AAC homes provide energy-efficient and eco-friendly living, improving air quality while reducing your carbon footprint. In the photo above, the fireplace mantel, the bookcases, the walls, the floor, and the ceiling are all made out of autoclaved aerated concrete which is completely free of pollutants and therefore cannot emit any emissions that are harmful to health. Even in the event of fire or exposure to water, no harmful substances are produced.

No Termites, Mice, Roaches, or Extermination Fees

With solid walls, there is no space for termites, ants, mice, or roaches.  This not only saves you money by not having extermination bills, but makes life much more pleasant.

Investing In Your Future

Looking to invest in your future? At Waters Edge Villages, we offer autoclaved aerated concrete (AAC) homes that provide more safety, and comfort than traditional homes. But that’s not all – our homes also help you save money in the long run.

By choosing our eco-friendly homes, you can save on insurance, HVAC, maintainence, and pest control costs. These costs tend to increase every year, and by paying them with after tax dollars, you’re spending even more.

After Tax Dollars.

In North Carolina, if these savings are $1,000 per year that means you have to make over $1,190 in order to pay those bills if you are in the lowest federal and state tax brackets. If you are in the next higher tax brackets, you have to make more than $1,315 in order to pay those costs.

All of the above costs are subject to inflation.  If the inflation rate is held to the federal target rate of about 2%, then in about 36 years the costs will be doubled.

If the inflation rate contines at the 8% of 2022, then it will only take 9 years for the costs to double.

Social Security Effects

If you are on social security, you will get increases in your social security that are to some extent based on the cost of housing.  If your housing expenses are below average, then the social security cola adjustment may help offset the loss of income due to inflation of your other investment income.

We believe that when the future is unknown, it is better to play it safe.  Autoclaved aerated concrete homes can help with that.
